About this role

The Senior Bookkeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This position is responsible for recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and external reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

  • Manage the company’s AP email inbox and route items appropriately
  • Code and/or verify the coding of accounts payable items
  • Generate weekly aged AP reports for internal approval
  • Process payments to suppliers, ensuring timely payment and application of available credits
  • Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all invoices are received and approved
  • Prepare and process airport billing for five airport locations
  • Monitor daily bank activity, including deposits and change orders
  • Reconcile 32 bank accounts monthly
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare reports and calculations related to rent, licensing fees, union dues, and union health & welfare contributions
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic accounting files
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as needed

    About you
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience and/or equivalent accounting education background
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail; able to self-review work
  • Consistently meets deadlines or proactively communicates delays
  • Capable of identifying and correcting incorrect coding or transactions
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as payroll and union agreements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive company and employee information
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location organizational structure
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)

    Nice-to-haves:
  • Prior work in the hospitality, food service, or multi-unit retail sector is a plus
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar ERP/accounting systems is preferred
